Terms of Service
The short version: this is education, you file your own claim, and you can cancel anytime online. The details are below.
These terms are the agreement between you and It's Your Benefits ("we," "us") when you use itsyourbenefits.com or join the It's Your Benefits membership. By joining or using the site, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't join or use the site.
1. What It's Your Benefits is
- An online education membership that teaches veterans how the VA disability claim process works, so you can file your own claim.
- Education only. Nothing we provide is legal, medical or financial advice.
- We aren't lawyers, VA-accredited claims agents or Veterans Service Organization representatives. We don't prepare, file, present or prosecute VA claims for anyone, and we don't review anyone's records, claim or decision.
- We aren't affiliated with, endorsed by or approved by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) or the U.S. Department of Defense.
- Free help with your own claim is available from accredited Veterans Service Organizations. Find one on VA.gov.
2. Your membership and billing
- The membership costs $197 a month (USD). You're charged when you join, then every month on the same date until you cancel.
- Payments are handled by our community platform, Circle, and its payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
- Cancel anytime online: click your profile photo in the community, choose Billing, and cancel there. No sales call. You keep access until the end of the month you already paid for, and you won't be charged again.
- We don't give refunds for partial months or unused time, except where the law requires it.
- If the price changes, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies to you, so you can cancel first if you want.
3. Your account
- You must be 18 or older to join.
- Give accurate information and keep your login private.
- A membership is for one person. Don't share your login or the course materials.
4. Community rules
- Be respectful. No harassment, hate or threats.
- Keep it general. Never post medical records, VA claim numbers, Social Security numbers or other private details. Posts that include them come down.
- No selling or promoting anything, including paid claim services or paid medical opinion services.
- Don't post false or misleading information about VA claims, and never encourage anyone to claim a condition they don't have.
- We can remove posts, and suspend or end memberships, that break these rules.
5. The Claim Interview and instant answers
- Both give general information based only on what you tell them. Their results aren't official, aren't a rating, and aren't legal or medical advice.
- The Claim Interview runs in your own account on an outside app you choose, and your report is created in your own browser. We don't receive or store your answers or your report. That app's own privacy policy covers what you type into it.
- You decide what to file, and you're responsible for everything you submit to the VA. Only claim conditions you actually have, and describe them honestly. Giving the VA false information is a federal crime.
6. No guarantee of results
We don't promise any rating, decision, increase, back pay or other result. Only the VA decides your rating, based on your conditions and your evidence. Results other veterans got aren't a promise of yours.
7. Our materials
The videos, walkthroughs, guides, tools and other materials belong to It's Your Benefits. You can use them for your own claim. Don't copy, share, resell or post them anywhere else.
8. What you post
What you post in the community stays yours. You let us show it inside the community so the membership works. We won't share your posts, your story or your results outside the community without your written OK.
9. Limits
- The site and the membership are provided "as is." VA rules, forms and websites change. We work to keep everything current and link the official source in each lesson, but some details may be out of date when you read them. Check the official source before you act.
- To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any decision the VA makes. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For significant changes, we'll tell members by email or in the community before they take effect. The date at the top shows the current version.
